Todai-ji Temple

Environment for a fulldome animation

I modelled this entire temple from scratch for a five-minute animation made to be shown on a dome. The statues are existing models that I optimised for the scene so that render times stayed manageable.

I made the project as photorealistic as possible. I used Blender for 3D modelling, MeshLab and Substance Painter for optimisation and textures, and built the entire environment in Unreal Engine.
